Since 1957, Continental Importers has been family owned and operated. The founder’s belief was steeped in old world beliefs that reflected open and honest service, together with quality ingredients hand sourced in Europe was the foundation of success.
In 2014 the company was sold. The mandate was to maintain family core values and not become massively corporate. The Gourmet Warehouse purchased the company with the sole intent of running it with the passion and values that has built the Gourmet Warehouse into a brand everyone knows and trusts.

Continental Importers offers hundreds of Mediterranean, Italian and Portugese ingredients, prepared and packaged to suit the needs of retailers, wholesalers, delicatessens, supermarkets, and restaurants.
Continental Importers has also developed its own brand, COTE D’AZUR, to showcase gourmet ingredients and introduce new tastes to the Canadian market.
