Escargot French Style

Escargot is a traditional French delicacy that can be easily prepared as an appetizer. This tender, chewy meat melts in the mouth and can be baked shell side up with butter, garlic, and herbs (it’s done when the butter is bubbling). Serve with bread for dipping, and it’s a complete dish! For a more modern take, the escargots can be combined with shallots, parsley, garlic, and butter, and baked in mushroom caps.
